Shipping glass items such as light bulbs and glass terraria is not recommended, due to the fragile nature of the merchandise. Also, the carriers will not cover breakage of these items, so we will only ship these PREPAID AND AT THE CUSTOMER'S RISK. Houston Herp Supply will package all glass items in the best possible manner to minimize the chance of breakage. However, neither Houston Herp Supply nor the carrier will be responsible for items damaged in transit.
As with other dry good items, these can be shipped via any method you wish. Our preferred methods are regular parcel post or UPS ground service. These are the most economical ways to get your order to you. The shipping costs depend on the destination ZIP code, the weight of the package(s) and the size of the package(s). You can get a fair estimation of the shipping costs by estimating the size and weight of your order and calling your local post office or UPS office. Tell them your approximations and they can give you the costs based on your figures. Houston Herp Supply only charges for the actual shipping costs, so you save the packing and/or box charges that some other suppliers charge.
Quicker methods of shipping can be used, but the additional costs will be passed on to the customer. All services available by the individual carriers can be used, including registered mail and delivery confirmation.
