Drosera spatulata 'Frasier Island' form

What a great sundew to give for a burst of contrasting color! As with all species of Drosera, the leaves are covered with dewy tentacles. But while the leaves are green, the tentacles are a brilliant red! These sticky tentacles capture small insects, and even move together to trap the insect and pull it down to the leaf surface, where it is digested. Occasionally, the leaves will even roll up over slightly larger insects.

As they mature, the roots produce more plantlets. Eventually you will end up with a pot full of these!

We currently carry well-started plants in three-inch pots. We do not sell sundews bareroot, as we believe the minimal savings versus potted plants does not outweigh the good possibility that bareroot sundews may not survive the shipping and transplanting.
