Drosera adelae
Plant shown is representative of our plants in
3-inch pots.
This sundew is a great beginner's plant! As with
all species of Drosera, the leaves are covered with dewy tentacles. These sticky tentacles capture
small insects, and even move together to trap the insect and pull it down to the leaf
surface, where it is digested. Occasionally, the leaves will even roll up over slightly
larger insects!
As they mature, they produce a stem of beautiful,
maroon-colored, star-shaped flowers - in our opinion, some of the prettiest flowers
of any sundew!
This tray of adelae sundews isn't selected for
photographing; this is what we sell!
We currently carry well-started plants in three-inch pots.
We do not sell sundews bareroot, as we believe the minimal savings versus potted plants does
not outweigh the good possibility that bareroot sundews may not survive the shipping and transplanting.
